# Databasezy > Managed hosting for 18 database engines with real backups, strict isolation and a HIPAA-ready secure hosting option per database. Priced by what you actually use. Databasezy is a managed database host on Kubernetes. 18 engines are available today and 18 are in the catalogue. Every instance gets a TLS endpoint, per-database credentials, an IP allow-list, backups and metering. A per-instance "secure" placement runs on a HIPAA cell under a signed BAA. Pricing is a plan fee (Free, Solo, Team, Enterprise) plus hourly compute by instance size and usage beyond the included disk, egress and backup allowances. ## Start here - [Quickstart](https://docs.databasezy.com/getting-started/quickstart): create an instance and connect in five minutes - [Concepts](https://docs.databasezy.com/getting-started/concepts): orgs, projects, instances, placements, tiers - [Pricing](https://databasezy.com/pricing): plans, sizes and usage prices - [Engines](https://databasezy.com/engines): the catalogue with versions and features; one docs guide per engine at https://docs.databasezy.com/engines/ (connect, migrate, backups, pause, limits, licence) ## API and tooling - [REST API reference](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/api): OpenAPI 3.1, base URL https://api.databasezy.com/v1, bearer API keys (`zb_...`), RFC 9457 errors - [CLI](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/cli): `zb` command-line tool; `zb projects show`, `zb projects keys create|list|revoke` and `zb projects jwt-keys list|rotate` manage the project platform - [MCP server](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/mcp): `npx zb-mcp` gives coding agents tools to list, create, pause, resume and delete instances, fetch connection details (never secrets), show a project's endpoint and manage its publishable keys - Project platform ([overview](https://databasezy.com/platform), [docs](https://docs.databasezy.com/platform), [API in llms-full.txt](https://databasezy.com/llms-full.txt)): every project has one HTTPS endpoint (`https://.us-east.databasezy.com:8443` on us-east) authenticated with project keys (publishable `zbp_...`, secret `zbs_...`) and compatible with the Supabase client libraries. Live: Auth (`/auth/v1`), Data API (`/rest/v1`), Database tools and Agent servers. Coming soon: Storage (`/storage/v1`), Functions (`/functions/v1`), Realtime (`/realtime/v1`), Apps and jobs and Sandboxes. - [Agent servers](https://databasezy.com/features/agent-servers) ([guide](https://docs.databasezy.com/platform/agent-servers)): cloud dev machines for you and your coding agents, one Kata VM each with Docker inside, SSH through `ssh -p 2222 @ssh..databasezy.com` with your registered keys, `zb ws ssh-config --write` for VS Code / Cursor / Zed; billed per running hour, nothing for compute while stopped - [Compare](https://databasezy.com/compare): Databasezy next to Supabase and Layerbase - [Events and webhooks](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/events-webhooks) - [Limits](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/limits) and [SLA](https://docs.databasezy.com/reference/sla) ## Connect and migrate - [Connect overview](https://docs.databasezy.com/connect): TLS, CA download, allow-lists, mTLS, pooling, rotating credentials - [Frameworks](https://docs.databasezy.com/frameworks/nextjs): Next.js, Prisma, Drizzle, Django, SQLAlchemy, Rails, Laravel, Spring, Phoenix - [Migration sources](https://databasezy.com/migrate): every supported source with its preflight checklist, steps and zb migrate commands, one page per source at https://databasezy.com/migrate/ - [Migrate](https://docs.databasezy.com/migrate): from Neon, Supabase, PlanetScale, RDS, Upstash, Turso, Atlas, Railway, Render, Fly, Aiven, Heroku, local databases and files ## Operate and trust - [Backups, restore and PITR](https://docs.databasezy.com/operate/backups-restore-pitr) - [Secure hosting and the BAA](https://docs.databasezy.com/operate/secure-hosting-baa) - [Security](https://databasezy.com/security): isolation, encryption, staff access, API planes, disclosure - [Status](https://databasezy.com/status), [Changelog](https://databasezy.com/changelog), [Roadmap](https://databasezy.com/roadmap) - [Data processing agreement](https://databasezy.com/legal/dpa), [Business Associate Agreement](https://databasezy.com/legal/baa) - [Accessibility statement](https://databasezy.com/accessibility) ## Optional - [llms-full.txt](https://databasezy.com/llms-full.txt): the full engine, size and plan catalogue with prices, plus API and MCP usage notes
